Apparently, I’m the only one who didn’t make it. Sad.
Anyway, thanks for all the support! I love you all :)

Hello, everyone! I’m going to make this really quick ‘cause I don’t want to waste your time with nonsense stuff. Here goes!

My name is Paolo Castillo. I’m a guitar player! I play instrumental rock fusion and you can find my videos on the internets! There’s a show called Ziua Chitarelor in Bucharest, Romania, and they have a contest that will allow the finalists to play in a huge show with some of the GUITAR GODS! This includes: Brett Garsed, Andy Timmons, Greg Howe, Richard Hallebeek, Michael Angelo Batio, and William Stravato. I got contacted a day after by Corrado, the organizer, and he told me that he liked my video so much and said that I’m in the top 5!! ZOMG! Anyway, he asked if that if say I do make it, is it possible for me to pay for the plane tickets to Romania?

DUDES, I NEED YOUR HELP. The contest ends on April 6, the show is on April 10. 16 DAYS! I KNOW IT’S IMPOSSIBLE, BUT IT CAN HAPPEN! This is my chance and I’m not gonna let it go! I know this is shameless self-promotion, but I have dreamed of getting my music out for ages and what best way than to do it internationally, playing along-side my idols?! I need sponsors/endorsers. I need everyone to know that there’s a Filipino who’s going to represent the Philippines in a huge show in Romania (and around the world??). Only then, maybe, will the Romanian embassy give me a visa so I can play some geetaaaarrrr!

Please, help! View my video. Tell people about my music. BE A FAN ON MY FACEBOOK PAGE! Reblog this post! ANYTHING! THANK YOU IN ADVANCE. DON’T STOP BELIEVING! (Arnel Pineda, you are an inspiration!)

Web cam upload. The video is a bit out of sync near the end but ah what the hell. I thought the backing track was too riffy to just solo on. I figured it was meant to have vocals so I tried to be as melodic as possible in those section (otherwise there’s just too much going on all at once).

Hope you like it!

“I really am a big believer in trying to figure out ways to do things on your own because then they become more meaningful to you. You understand them on a much deeper level than you would if you were just repeating something parrot-fashion or something that someone else showed you. Because sometimes even though you would know or understand eventually what you were being shown, for some reason there seems to be something missing in that for me.”
